Elle a pour muscle principal, le diaphragme. Ce dernier a une position privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e car il s\u00e9pare le thorax de l\u2019abdomen, c\u2019est une voie de passage organique vasculaire et nerveuse. Le diaphragme est innerv\u00e9 par le nerf phr\u00e9nique qui prend origine au niveau des cervicales et provoque sa contraction.<\/p>\n<h3>Quelle est la fonction m\u00e9canique du diaphragme :<\/h3>\n<p>Lors de l\u2019inspiration, le diaphragme s\u2019abaisse, la cage thoracique s\u2019agrandit laissant plus de place \u00e0 la dilatation des poumons. Lors de son abaissement, le diaphragme vient brasser la masse visc\u00e9rale qui se d\u00e9forme et fait gonfler le ventre. Pour qu\u2019une respiration soit ample et compl\u00e8te, la masse visc\u00e9rale doit \u00eatre totalement rel\u00e2ch\u00e9e.<br \/>A l\u2019inverse, des tensions abdominales peuvent entraver la bonne mobilit\u00e9 du diaphragme et diminuer ainsi la respiration.<br \/>Lors de l\u2019expiration, le diaphragme remonte, le thorax se resserre, les poumons se vident et le ventre se creuse.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>L\u2019abaissement et la remont\u00e9e du diaphragme cr\u00e9ent un v\u00e9ritable syst\u00e8me de pompe.<br \/>Le brassage du bol alimentaire, favorisera le transit intestinal et aura un r\u00f4le dans la distribution des liquides de l\u2019organisme dont le syst\u00e8me sanguin.<br \/>NB : Beaucoup de personne respire de mani\u00e8re invers\u00e9e, en inspirant elles entrent le ventre tandis qu\u2019elles gonflent le ventre en expirant. Cette respiration est dite paradoxale. Et, la capacit\u00e9 respiratoire s\u2019en trouve limit\u00e9e.<br \/>L\u2019inspiration deviendra forc\u00e9e plus haute, plus courte et superficielle. Elle sollicitera d\u2019avantage les muscles accessoires du cou.
